Staff Sgt. Richard R. Williams, Hernando, Miss., of the Senatobia-based Headquarters & Headquarters Company, 2nd Battalion, 198th Armor Regiment, adjusts the front sight post of his M4 rifle as part of his winning performance at the Mississippi Army National Guard’s 2012 Best Warrior Competition, held March 21-23 at Camp McCain, Miss. One of nine in the competition, each soldier challenged a wide range of events designed to evaluate their Army aptitude. Events also included a written test, Army Physical Fitness Test, M4 rifle and M9 pistol qualification, Engagement Skills Trainer, land navigation, combative competition, obstacle course and Senior Non-Commissioned Officer Interview Board.
