Mowery, the commanding officer of HMLA-267 as he is handed the logbook to an AH-1W Super Cobra at Camp Pendleton, Calif., March 23. HMLA-267 is converting over to the AH-1Z. Mowery, 41, from Troup, Texas, delivered their unit’s last ‘Whiskey’ after taking it it’s final flight. “This is probably going to be the last time I fly a ‘Whiskey’,” Mowery said. “For me, this is the end of an era."
