A patch is stitched with the name and call sign of Emil “Batman” Conley from Lee Summit, Missouri during the Pilot for a Day tour, on July 19, 2019, at Whiteman Air Force Base, Missouri. Emil received his call sign “Batman” from the 393rd Bomb Squadron commander during a pool party that kicked off their tour. Emil has medulloblastoma, which is the most common malignant brain tumor for children, and accounts for about 20 percent of all childhood brain tumors. Whiteman AFB collaborates with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital to coordinate these tours. (U.S. Air Force photo by Senior Airman Thomas Barley)
