ATLANTIC OCEAN (July 24, 2019) — Gunner’s Mate 1st Class Bobby Jernigan, a crew-served weapon instructor assigned to the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Porter (DDG 78), instructs Fire Controlman 3rd Class Ryan E. Deguzman, a Sailor assigned to the ship, on the use of a 50-caliber gun during crew-serve weapons qualifications in the Atlantic Ocean, July 24, 2019. Porter, forward-deployed to Rota, Spain, is on its seventh patrol in the U.S. 6th Fleet area operations in support of U.S. national security interests in Europe and Africa.
