ATLANTIC OCEAN (July 24, 2019) — Lt. j.g. Meadow J. Jackson, a main propulsion officer assigned to the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Porter (DDG 78), is supervised by Chief Gunner’s Mate Michael Zimmerman, a crew-served weapons instructor aboard the ship, while she completes a qualification for anti-terrorism tactical watch officer. Porter, forward-deployed to Rota, Spain, is on its seventh patrol in the U.S. 6th Fleet area operations in support of U.S. national security interests in Europe and Africa.
