Stringer got to experience the high-speed taxi from the flight deck of a C-130H Hercules while wearing the standard gear a pilot would have on during a flight. The 910th AW began the Pilot for a Day program in 2000 as a community partnership with Akron Children’s Hospital and has since welcomed 66 children with chronic or life-threatening illness as honorees.
