Twenty-year-old Pfc. Daniel Garcia of Roswell, N.M., patrols alongside his squad of Marines during a training evolution recently. The point man with 3rd Battalion, 9th Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, participated in a two-week long training event focusing on counter improvised explosive device training and practical application, advisor training, combat policing, key leader engagements and tactical sight exploitation.
