PORTSMOUTH, Va. (Aug. 9, 2019) – Staff members from Biomedical Engineering present their Biomedical Equipment Technician booth during NMCP’s annual NEC Fair. Biomedical equipment technicians assemble, maintain, troubleshoot, align, and calibrate medical equipment. They calculate circuit parameters, solder, plumbing, welding, and documentation. The major emphasis of their job is on deployable medical equipment, i.e., X-Ray, dental X-Ray, laboratory, ophthalmic, dental, pneumatic, hydraulic, general, medical and surgical diagnostic and treatment equipment at the module or circuit board level.
