U.S. Marines sprayed 1,800 gallons of water into a field for Santa Juliana residents during an Exercise Balikatan 2012 community relations event here, April 24. Hundreds of residents, Philippine Marines and U.S. Marines came out to play in the drops of joy that were welcomed in the sweltering heat. “This is so great for the children and the community,” said resident Elvie Cauduli. “Everyone is outside together. I wish they could do it again.” She then said jokingly, “How about tomorrow?” BK12 is an annual Republic of the Philippines-U.S. military exercise focusing on field training, humanitarian assistance and a command post exercise.
