Staff Sgt. Joseph D'Ambrosio, 4th Marine Aircraft Wing Aviation Logistics Department, Marine Forces Reserve, carries mulch to the site of a newly planted tree here April 17. D'Ambrosio was volunteering for an event sponsored by Hike for KaTREEna, a non-profit organization that is dedicated to replacing trees that were lost after Hurricane Katrina. The volunteer event ran from April 16-20 and was concurrent with NOLA Navy Week, which served as the inaugural city in a three-year national celebration commemorating the War of 1812 and “The Star-Spangled Banner.”
