Gunnery Sgt. Greg Carter, an operations staff non-commissioned officer for 4th Marine Logistics Group, Marine Forces Reserve, stakes a new tree in a New Orleans park April 18. Marines from MARFORRES volunteered at the event for Hike for KaTREEna, a non-profit organization dedicated to replacing trees lost after Hurricane Katrina. The event was part of NOLA Navy week, in which New Orleans served as the inaugural city in a three-year national celebration commemorating the War of 1812 and “The Star-Spangled Banner.”
