ENNIBUR, Marshall Islands (Oct. 26, 2019) Builder Constructionman Joseph Gallaway, from Port Lavaca, Texas, deployed with Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 5’s Detail Marshall Islands, digs one of eight holes during the excavation process for the Ennibur Evacuation Center. The evacuation center will serve as the island’s disaster preparedness building for the local community. NMCB-5 is deployed across the Indo-Pacific region conducting high-quality construction to support U.S. and partner nations to strengthen partnerships, deter aggression, and enable expeditionary logistics and naval power projection.
