Living historians Scott Taft of Glenarm, Illinois, and John Krug of Ottawa, Illinois, discuss Krug's 1916 Ford Model T U.S. Army automobile. Krug brought two restored Model T U.S. Army vehicles, the car and an ambulance, to the Illinois State Military Museum's Great War Encampment at the museum in Springfield, Illinois, on Nov. 9, 2019. The museum tells the history and proud legacy of the Illinois National Guard. With just two full-time employees, the museum relies on a full cadre of volunteers to operate daily and present more than a dozen events each year to thousands of visitors. (U.S. Army photo by Lt. Col. Brad Leighton, Illinois National Guard Public Affairs.)
