191102-N-PG340-1001 ENNIBUR, Marshall Islands (Nov. 2, 2019) Builder Constructionman Joseph Gallaway (left), from Port Lavaca, Texas; Equipment Operator Constructionman Manuel Mendez Correa (right), from Memphis, Tennessee, both deployed with Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 5’s Detail Marshall Islands, and Kinere Ben, a local volunteer of Ennibur Island, work as team to measure battle-boards that will be cut and placed for elevation of the site’s layout for the Ennibur Evacuation Center construction. NMCB-5 is deployed across the Indo-Pacific region conducting high-quality construction to support U.S. and partner nations to strengthen partnerships, deter aggression, and enable expeditionary logistics and naval power projection.
