191107-N-RX815-0196 U-TAPAO, Thailand (Nov. 7, 2019) Builder 2nd Class Megan Pringle, deployed with Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 5’s Detail Thailand, measures the span of one of the exterior walls of the administrative facilities to draft the building layout drawings on Royal Thai Naval Air Station U-Tapao, Thailand. These buildings are used as command operations centers, briefing rooms and staff planning spaces for future operations between U.S. Navy Seabees, the people of Thailand, and the Royal Thai Navy. NMCB-5 is deployed across the Indo-Pacific region conducting high-quality construction to support U.S. and partner nations to strengthen partnerships, deter aggression, and enable expeditionary logistics and naval power projection.
