191107-N-RX815-0234 U-TAPAO, Thailand (Nov. 7, 2019) Construction Electrician 2nd Class Leah Himes and Builder 2nd Class Megan Pringle, deployed with Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 5’s Detail Thailand, measure the proposed exterior perimeter fence and the scope of work that will enclose the administration facilities on U-Tapao Naval Air Station. The renovation of the facilities and the fencing will create a functional space for future bilateral exercises and will strengthen the relationship between the U.S. Navy Seabees, the people of Thailand, and the Royal Thai Navy. NMCB-5 is deployed across the Indo-Pacific region conducting high-quality construction to support U.S. and partner nations to strengthen partnerships, deter aggression, and enable expeditionary logistics and naval power projection.
