191107-N-RX815-0221 U-TAPAO, Thailand (Nov. 7, 2019) Construction Electrician 2nd Class Leah Himes, deployed with Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 5’s Detail Thailand, measures part of the exterior perimeter fencing of a future project that will enclose the administration facilities on U-Tapao Naval Air Station. The administration facilities are used as command operations centers, briefing rooms and staff planning spaces for future operations between U.S. Navy Seabees, the people of Thailand, and the Royal Thai Navy. NMCB-5 is deployed across the Indo-Pacific region conducting high-quality construction to support U.S. and partner nations to strengthen partnerships, deter aggression, and enable expeditionary logistics and naval power projection.
