191107-N-RX815-0227 U-TAPAO, Thailand (Nov. 7, 2019) U.S. Navy Seabees deployed with Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 5’s Detail Thailand and Petty Officer 1st Class Montrey, with the Royal Thai Marine Corps, discuss the scope of work while the U.S. Navy Seabees pull dimensions for the future project of fencing that will enclose the administration facilities on U-Tapao Naval Air Station. The renovation of the facilities and the fencing will create a functional space for future bilateral exercises and will strengthen the relationship between the U.S. Navy Seabees, the people of Thailand, and the Royal Thai Navy. NMCB-5 is deployed across the Indo-Pacific region conducting high-quality construction to support U.S. and partner nations to strengthen partnerships, deter aggression, and enable expeditionary logistics and naval power projection.
