Recovery Leader Mindy Simonson adjust a plum bob while maping grid units during recovery operations in the Quang Nam province of Vietnam. Simonson is a forensic archaeologist assigned to the Joint POW/MIA Accounting Command. The command conducts global search, recovery and laboratory operations to identify unaccounted-for Americans from past conflicts in order to support the Department of Defense's personnel accounting efforts.
