United States Marine Corps Staff Sergeant Jacob Wimer assists Recovery Leader Mindy Simonson in preparing to do a soil profile while conducting recovery operations in the Quang Nam Province of Vietnam. Wimer is an Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technician assigned to the Joint POW/MIA Accounting Command. The Command conducts global search, recovery and laboratory operations to identify unaccounted-for Americans from past conflicts in order to support the Department of Defense's personnel accounting efforts.
