Soldiers with the 3rd Infantry Division stand ready to screen potential patients for symptoms of COVID-19 at a drive-through facility at Hunter Army Airfield in Savannah, Georgia, April 3, 2020. Fort Stewart and HAAF Garrisons, along with leaders of Winn Army Community Hospital, began conducting the screening to assist in mitigating the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic after recently raising the Military community’s Health Protection Condition level. Sgt. 1st Class Andre Brittingham, medical noncommissioned officer with 1st Battalion, 41st Field Artillery Regiment, said, “We’re serving a bigger purpose than ourselves. As a medical community, we need to help out as much as we can.”
