Staff Sgt. Chris Flores from the California Air National Guard’s 146th Airlift Wing assembles a bariatric bed, April 4, 2020, at the Redding Civic Auditorium in Redding, California. This bed will be placed in the triage area, which is reserved for some of the more serious cases, of the Redding federal medical station (FMS). An FMS is a temporary medical shelter that can help to reduce the strain at local hospitals from hospital overflow due to the coronavirus pandemic.
