Command Sgt. Major Franklin Ashe, Third Army/U.S. Army Central command sergeant major, expresses his appreciation of service to John Kimbrell, Swanee, Ga., a Vietnam Veteran who is currently being treated at the Atlanta Veterans Administration Medical Center's nursing home care unit. Kimbrell was a veteran of Third Army during the Vietnam War era. Third Army adopted the Atlanta VA Nursing home Oct. 17, which will include quarterly visits by volunteer Soldiers from the command. The Soldiers will assist nursing home attendants facilitating activities with the Veterans such as bed-side reading, games and gardening.
