Sgt. 1st Class Yolonda Reese, a human resources non-commissioned officer with Third Army/U.S. Army Central, shakes the hand of John Kimbrell, Swanee, Ga., a Vietnam Veteran who is currently be treated at the Atlanta Veterans Administration Medical Center's nursing home care unit. Kimbrell was a veteran of Third Army in the late 60s during the Vietnam War. Third Army adopted the Atlanta VA Nursing home, Oct. 17, which will include quarterly visits by volunteer Soldiers from the command. The Soldiers will assist nursing home attendants facilitating activities with the Veterans such as bed-side reading, games and gardening.
