The Soldiers are members of the Ohio National Guard’s 1st Battalion, 134th Field Artillery Regiment, which has been supporting the Mid-Ohio Foodbank’s operations during the COVID-19 pandemic. The greenhouse is part of a Mid-Ohio Food Collective’s project to create an urban farm supporting the food bank’s access to fresh produce. The site will also be used to provide community education and engagement on urban farming and agriculture.
