U.S. Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Tum Monge chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear defense specialist with 3rd Marine Division, shares his experience, on Camp Foster, June 1, 2020, in the Joint Reception Center (JRC) program, a week-long orientation to the island of Okinawa.
“I am excited to see all the opportunities I have out here,” said Monge. “I am ready to volunteer and give the community as much service as I can.”
Monge waits in the classroom to hear the last segment of training before he is sent to his unit. June 2 he will meet his new unit and use the training taught in the week long orientation to adjust to ‘fleet life’.
Despite COVID-19 restrictions, JRC Marines have continued to assist hundreds of accompanied and unaccompanied service members with their overseas transition.
