U.S. Marine Corps Pfc. Christopher Zonts, with the Provost Marshal’s Office (PMO), shares his experience, on Camp Foster, June 1, 2020, within the Joint Reception Center (JRC) program, a week-long orientation to the island of Okinawa.
As the Marines wait to start their first day of JRC, they field day their rooms and common areas, as preparation for the training to begin.
“I am excited to experience the new island and benefit the community as a PMO Marine,” said Zonts. “I want to do the best I can as to help spread positive awareness of police officers.”
“I’ve been on Restriction of Movement, so I haven’t had the chance to experience any trainings yet, but so far my time with JRC has been great,” he said.
Despite COVID-19 restrictions, JRC Marines have continued to assist hundreds of accompanied and unaccompanied service members with their overseas transition. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Lance Cpl. Karis Mattingly)
