U.S. Air Force Maj. Catherine Paterson (center), an NPC-L Mobile Training Team (MTT) instructor from Ramstein Air Base, Germany, leads training on the Negative Pressurized Conex- Lite (NPC-L) at Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar, Aug. 6, 2020. The NPC-L, the first and only one of its kind to date, was built in response to COVID-19. It was delivered from Bagram Airfield, Afghanistan with the NPC-L MTT to lead training for the 379th Expeditionary Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron. The 379th EAES is among the first to receive training on this particular model. Once the NPC-L returns to Bagram, it will be made operational throughout U.S. Central Command’s area of responsibility.
