Members of the 379th Expeditionary Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron simulate transporting COVID-19 patients on a static C-130 Hercules aircraft during training on the Negative Pressurized Conex- Lite (NPC-L) at Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar, Aug. 7, 2020. The NPC-L, the first and only one of its kind to date, was built in response to COVID-19. It was delivered from Bagram Airfield, Afghanistan with an NPC-L Mobile Training Team from Ramstein Air Base, Germany, to lead the training. The 379th EAES is among the first to receive training on this particular model. Once the NPC-L returns to Bagram, it will be made operational throughout U.S. Central Command’s area of responsibility.
