U.S. Air Force Col. Steven Theohares (left), 379th Expeditionary Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron commander, introduces Col. J. Christopher McClung (right), 379th Air Expeditionary Wing vice commander, to the Negative Pressurized Conex- Lite (NPC-L) during a static tour at Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar, Aug. 13, 2020. This box is the first of its kind and designed to fit into a C-130 Hercules aircraft. It was built in 12 days and is currently at AUAB for the 379th EAES to complete training before receiving their own. The NPC-L is assigned to Bagram Airfield, Afghanistan and once it returns, it will be made operational throughout U.S. Central Command’s area of responsibility.
