Oregon Army National Guard Soldiers of the 224th Engineer Company operate a scraper and grader to enhance training trails at Camp Umatilla Oregon near Hermiston, Ore, August 6th, 2020. These two pieces of equipment often work in conjunction, the scraper collects and dumping fill material, and the grader to level it out creating an effective trail. The company created several miles of off-road trails for convoys and heavy vehicles to maneuver through the old storage bunkers on the 20 square mile training base. The conditions of these combat roads are similar to what would be constructed in a deployed environment.
