U.S. Marine Corps name tapes, rank insignias, badges, dog tags, belts and hats hang from a memorial to the fallen Marines of the Battle of Iwo Jima in February 1945 at the top of Mount Suribachi on the island July 26, 2012. Mount Suribachi is the site of where the iconic photo “Raising the Flag on Iwo Jima” was taken after the battle.
