U.S. Air Force airmen from the 18th Maintenance Group march toward Mount Suribachi as part of a tour of Iwo To, Japan, formerly known as Iwo Jima, conducted by the 18th Wing History Office July 26, 2012. Because the island remains off-limits to most civilian personnel due to dangers still hidden on the battle site, the trip has become a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for anyone given the opportunity.
