U.S. Marine Cpl. Javier Gomez, a line noncommissioned officer with Bulk Fuel Company, 9th Engineer Support Battalion (ESB), 3rd Marine Logistics Group (MLG), and Oxford, Alabama native, practices transporting a fuel line across the runway at Ie Shima, Okinawa, Japan, Sept. 23, 2020. During the exercise Bulk Fuel Company, 9th ESB set fuel lines and manned the stations for a Forward Arming and Refueling Point in support of UH-1Y Venom, AH-1Z Viper, and MV-22B Osprey aircraft with 1st Marine Aircraft Wing, and U.S. Army UH-60 Black Hawks. 3rd MLG provides III Marine Expeditionary Force comprehensive logistics and combat service support for operations throughout the Indo-Pacific area of responsibility.
