Rear Adm. Tim Weber, director of the Navy's Medical Service Corps (MSC) and commander, Naval Medical Forces Pacific, reconizes Lt. Cmdr. Lamb, optometrist, for his work in responding to the COVID-19 pandemic. Lamb served as Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton's (NHCP) lead in setting up a system, that included a flu tent, for screening patients with respiratory illness symptoms, a history of travel, and believed exposure to COVID-19, prior to entering the emergency department and reduce the risk of spreading the virus. Weber recognized Lamb during an Admiral's Call with MSC officers assigned to Navy Medicine Readiness and Training Command Camp Pendleton who work at NHCP during an Admiral's Call held at the hospital Oct. 13. Weber also discussed the Navy surgeon general's four priorities of people, platforms, performance, and power, and emphasized Navy Medicine's role in providing a well-trained, well-equiped medical force that ensures the health and readiness of the Fleet and Fleet Marine Force.
