Rear Adm. Tim Weber (right), commander, Naval Medical Forces Pacific (NMFP), and director of the Navy's Medical Service Corps, speaks with Mr. Greg Corso (left), facilities manager, during his visit to Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton Oct. 13. NMFP Command Master Chief Sean Howe (second from left) and Capt. Shelley Perkins, NHCP commanding officer, joined Weber on a tour of the hospital. Corso was recognized by Weber for his work establishing negative pressure rooms in the hospital's emergency department to isolate patients potentially infected with COVID-19, reducing the risk of viral spread, as part of the command's response to the pandemic. Weber visited with Navy Medicine personnel at the hospital and branch health clinics to gain insight from the deckplate and learn how NMFP can support the Sailors and civilian staff to ensure they're a well-trained and equiped medical force that achieves their mission of keeping the Fleet and Fleet Marine Force healthy and ready.
