Elaine Taylor, animal control officer with Cherry Point Provost Marshals Office and volunteer for the Feds Feed Families campaign, collects donated food from the air station troop store, Aug. 3. Since the beginning of the campaign, Cherry Point personnel have donated more than 4,500 pounds of non-perishable food to local food banks. The federal-wide food drive is in response to food bank shortages during the summer months as children are left without school nutrition programs.
