Kerry Stratton, Cherry Point Anti-Terrorism Office mission assurance officer and volunteer for the Feds Feed Families campaign, collects donated food from the air station Marine Corps Exchange, Aug. 3. Since the beginning of the campaign, Cherry Point personnel have donated more than 4,500 pounds of non-perishable food to local food banks. The federal-wide food drive is in response to food bank shortages during the summer months as children are left without school nutrition programs. "The food bank we deliver to feeds 120-130 families a week," said Stratton. "So, they welcome the donations."
