INDIAN OCEAN (Jan. 12, 2020) – U.S. Navy Command Master Chief Neal Olds observes as an MH-60R Sea Hawk, assigned to Helicopter Maritime Strike Squadron (HSM) 49, conducts a reverse landing aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Makin Island (LHD 8). Makin Island, flagship of the Amphibious Ready Group, along with the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit, is conducting operations in the U.S. 6th Fleet area of responsibility.
