A Soldier from Bushmaster Company, 1st Battalion, 327th Infantry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), takes a knee and observes Iraqi army soldiers conducting a search of a home near the Bayji Train Station in the early morning hours of Nov. 8. The U.S. Soldiers are now assisting the IA with searches as they sharpen their skills while taking the lead in combat operations in the area. The Bastogne Soldiers were conducting operations in the northern portion of the Salah ad Din province which correlated with 1st Armored Division operations during Operation Iron Hammer.
