Federal agents switch out teams from North Carolina National Guard Black Hawk helicopters, Sept. 3, at the Mecklenburg Police Academy in Charlotte, N.C., during a practice emergency-response training flight. The helicopters flown by pilots and crew chiefs, of C Company, 1st Battalion, 131st Aviation Regiment, were available to haul the agents and nearly 5,000 pounds of equipment into areas that emergency vehicles could not reach during the Democratic National Convention. The team was s back-up contingency, only available as a last resort.
