Staff Sgt. Logan Mejia, 56th Equipment Maintenance Squadron aircraft metals technology craftsman, operates a 5-axis milling machine, April 22, 2021 at Luke Air Force Base, Arizona. This milling machine enables the Airmen to manufacture essential aircraft parts such as F-35A Lightning II fighter jet rudder hinges out of metals like titanium . The 56th EMS provides safe and reliable aircraft, equipment, munitions and maintenance to ensure Luke AFB can continue to train the world’s greatest fighter pilots.
