An Armenian soldier with the demining unit indicates on a country map where he was born during the culturalization and familiarization portion of the U.S. Humanitarian Mine Action training program at an Armenian military base outside of Yerevan. In addition to a civilian HMA trainer, soldiers from the Kansas National Guard are on hand to conduct demining training as part of the National Guard’s State Partnership Program, which links Kansas to the U.S. European Command partner nation of Armenia.
