Martin Dumond, training instructor with the U.S. Humanitarian Demining Training Center located at Fort Leonard Wood, Mo., instructs members of the Armenian military and civilian agencies on internationally recognized demining procedures in regards to demining a civilian area. Dumond and members of the Kansas National Guard are in Armenia to help instruct Armenian soldiers who will later fill the role of demining trainers in the Armenian army as Armenia develops its national standards for demining operations.
