SILVER SPRING, Md. (June 18, 2021) Capt. Adam Armstrong, commander, Naval Medical Research Center (NMRC) speaks during a change of command ceremony. During the ceremony, Armstrong was relieved of command by Capt. William Deniston. NMRC and its eight laboratories support the Department of the Navy with research in infectious diseases, biological warfare detection and defense, combat casualty care, environmental health concerns, aerospace and undersea medicine, medical modeling, simulation and operational mission support, and epidemiology and behavioral sciences.
