SILVER SPRING, Md. (June 18, 2021) Capt. William Deniston, commander, Naval Medical Research Center (NMRC) passes through sideboys during NMRC’s change of command ceremony. During the ceremony, Capt. Adam Armstrong was relieved of command by Deniston. NMRC and its eight laboratories support the Department of the Navy with research in infectious diseases, biological warfare detection and defense, combat casualty care, environmental health concerns, aerospace and undersea medicine, medical modeling, simulation and operational mission support, and epidemiology and behavioral sciences.
