SILVER SPRING, Md. (June 18, 2021) Capt. William Deniston, commander, Naval Medical Research Center (NMRC) and Capt. Adam Armstrong stand on stage at a change of command ceremony for NMRC. During the ceremony, Armstrong was relieved of command by Deniston. NMRC and its eight laboratories support the Department of the Navy with research in infectious diseases, biological warfare detection and defense, combat casualty care, environmental health concerns, aerospace and undersea medicine, medical modeling, simulation and operational mission support, and epidemiology and behavioral sciences.
