Career highlights: Lt. Gallant started her career as a non-rate at Coast Guard Station Annapolis, then a boatswain’s mate at Coast Guard Station Fort Lauderdale. Inspiration: Gallant just completed a successful tour as the first female commanding officer of Coast Guard Station Cape Disappointment, a very busy surf station in Oregon. She exudes strength and compassion and knowledge.

Words of wisdom: “Seek leadership and guidance from other women operating in similar jobs and maintain relationships with them; they will be your greatest mentors,” said Gallant. “Team Kodiak has been such an inclusive environment for me as a woman Coastie, as a unit command member, and for my family.”
