Spc. Bryant Boyd, an information technology specialist, and Pfc. Jayden Porter, a cable systems installer, both from the 151st Expeditionary Signal Battalion, 228th Theater Tactical Signal Brigade, of the South Carolina National Guard, send a status report during Combat Support Training Exercise (CSTX) at Fort McCoy, Wisconsin, Aug. 14, 2021. Boyd was assisting Porter in a cross-training opportunity by showing him how to use the computer systems. “I’m an I.T. Geek, I like actually working on my equipment, I like working on computers, I like working on systems,” said Boyd. “It's actually fun being able to troubleshoot.” The 78th Training Division, in charge of this rotation of CSTX, intends for this exercise to be an opportunity to empower junior leaders with the permissions they need to successfully lead and train their Soldiers.
