210921-A-RK348-1028 ARABIAN GULF (Sept. 21, 2021) – Marines assigned to the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) conduct advanced interdiction team training with fast response cutter USCGC Robert Goldman (WPC 1142) in the Arabian Gulf, Sept. 21. The 11th MEU is deployed to the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations in support of naval operations to ensure maritime stability and security in the Central Region, connecting the Mediterranean and Pacific through the western Indian Ocean and three strategic choke points.
